Lyon



Lyon is located between the two world's biggest superconducting machines : LHC (Geneva, 150 km) and ITER (Cadarache, 300 km). Visits to these installations and in Grenoble will be organized after the conference. Lyon is the gastronomic capital of France and a very beautiful city. In Lyon you will treat your taste buds and you will enjoy the legacy of the past in a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will see unmissable sites, monuments such as the famous traboules (ancient passageways)... Among the numerous activities, you can discover how silk workers lived in La Croix-Rousse. Lyon is the place where the Lumière brothers invented the Cinématographe and where, in 1895, they shot the first film in the history of the cinema: "Sortie d'Usine".
